Common Policies

🖧 Network Access Policy

All staff and students must abide by the network access policies below.

Staff Access

  • Device Connections: Staff are permitted to connect up to 5 devices to the WiFi network. These devices may be personal or school-provided.
  • LAN Access: Only school-owned devices may be connected to the physical LAN network. Personal devices are restricted to WiFi access only.
  • Network Integrity: Any device that interferes with the network's proper functioning or poses a threat to other users will be blocked from network access.
  • Personal Networks: Setting up personal or private WiFi networks within the school is prohibited, except for mobile device hotspots.

Student Access

  • WiFi Access: Students are only provided with WiFi access.
  • Network Segmentation: There are two separate WiFi networks:
    • IS Student Network: Reserved exclusively for devices enrolled in the 1-to-1 Device program and school-owned devices. Personal devices are not permitted to connect.
    • KS Student Network: Accessible to KS students at the discretion of Head Teachers.
