The school provides several communication channels for staff to securely collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders.
Each staff member is provided with two email accounts: one hosted by Microsoft Office 365 (O365) and another hosted by Google. The Microsoft account serves as the primary communication channel, while the Google account is primarily used for communication related to Google Classroom.
Staff O365 accounts are hosted under the domain kis.edu.hk.
Staff Google accounts are hosted under the domains is.kis.edu.hk for International Section staff and ks.kis.edu.hk for Korean Section staff.
To facilitate effective communication with staff, we have established several dedicated mailing lists for different teams and departments.

At times, staff members or departments may need to subscribe to online platforms or tools. Staff are prohibited from using their individual accounts for such subscriptions. In these cases, staff should contact the IT Department to request a departmental subscription email account.
All school staff email accounts must have two-factor authentication enabled. Additional information on 2FA can be found here.
For enhanced collaboration and instant communication, the school provides staff with access to instant messaging. This allows for real-time communication, making it easier for staff to collaborate and share information quickly. The official instant messaging platform of the school is Microsoft Teams.
While Microsoft Teams is widely used and effective, staff should refrain from using personal messaging platforms such as WhatsApp or Telegram for internal school-related communication due to data privacy and intellectual property concerns. Keeping communications within the official platform helps ensure that sensitive information remains secure.
All staff are provided with access to Microsoft Teams. In addition to facilitating work-related communication, Teams serves as our emergency communication channel. It supports video conferencing, making it easy to hold virtual meetings, and is the required platform for Parent-Teacher Conferences.
In the International Section, dedicated channels have been set up for staff to collaborate:
Within the Korean Section, Cool Messenger is widely used by teachers. This platform serves as the standard communication tool for all schools in Korea, making it the ideal choice for a school that follows the curriculum.
