The 1-to-1 Device Program is an ambitious initiative launched in 2018, aimed at integrating technology into the curriculum to enhance teaching and learning both inside and outside the classroom. All primary (Y5-Y6) and secondary (Y7-Y13 & SBS & SBP-16) students are required to purchase a personal hybrid Windows device equipped with a digital pen. Participation in this program is mandatory. For more information, please visit the school website here.
All devices in the program are managed through a Mobile Device Management (MDM) system called Microsoft Intune for Education. This system enables the IT Department to oversee device security on campus and at home, as well as to install necessary applications for classroom learning. Direct installation of applications by students or parents is restricted. If additional applications are needed, please contact the IT Department at [email protected]. We also provide a dedicated portal for the installation of pre-approved applications, allowing students and parents to self-serve.
As part of the Intune security suite, student devices have internet browsing restrictions in place. These restrictions are designed to keep students focused on classroom learning by blocking inappropriate content, including violence, pornography, and games. Should any adjustments to these restrictions be necessary—whether adding or removing restrictions—please submit an email to the IT Department at [email protected] with the details of your request.
